Blast from the Past! (Jaksick, '93)

Sam Jaksick Jr. hunted with us and took this buck in Arizona in 1993. We named the buck "Righty" - the official score after the 60 day drying period was 93 2/8 B&C. For the original story of this hunt click here for PART 1 or here for PART 2.

Hey Eli, I meant to ask you under your last post. Can you expain 19A? Where can you bow hunt in the unit? Can rifle hunters hunt in the bow zone? Are there monster bucks in the bow area of the unit? Besides 10/18 which archery tag is the best in Arizona and why?

Haha, that sounds like an essay question.

19A is in the city. Or maybe it's the other way around. You can hunt anywhere you want in the unit except for the area where the Dugas road is. For some reason that spot is not included in the antelope hunt. Rifle hunters can hunt in the bow area. Other than 10/18 the best archery tag is probably 17, but you do have to deal with private property to hunt.

Eli, do you know where the 88 2/8 Eric Gardner Yavapai buck was killed? It's a new photo on bnc web page. Just curious, it was taken with a bow.

Not a 100% sure this is the buck you're talking about, but I think it is (I don't have access to B&C's private photos so I don't know what picture you're looking at.)
