You know, of all the bucks I've posted pictures of over the years and that we had an opportunity to hunt, only 1 of them has ever been killed by someone not associated with us. That was one of the auction tag bucks last year and I'm pretty sure that Heathington found that buck all by himself and most likely never even saw one of my pictures.
Most all hunters always seem to be so secretive about where their honey holes are...I often wonder about whether or not it has any long term ramifications. I'm sure that 10 and 20 years ago it may have made a difference, but I don't think it does anymore. Especially in Arizona where you couldn't manipulate the odds of getting a tag enough for it to matter.
If I come on my blog (let's just pretend that everyone in the state of Arizona reads my blog) and say that there are big bucks in 19A and 17B and Unit 10 and 18A is that really going to affect anything? I don't think it does.
I'll post a blog on some weird percentages that I often wonder about and the NUMBER ONE MISTAKE made by all trophy hunters and why most everyone ends up with an average antelope.
That's what I'm saying. There are still hunter's out there who try to hide their success when they take a giant buck in 19A or 10 or 18A. I think it's silly. Really, trying to hide success in any unit is silly. I know that all the units are capable of producing big bucks occasionally and some more often than others. Aren't really too many secrets anymore.
The real secret is...how do you kill a 90-incher... ;)
eli, the topo thing was a joke:) most of us do not have the time and or resorces to even find bucks in the same zip code as the ones you guys take..you guys are Good!was that heathington buck you are refering to the one he shot? i ran into him the other day and he says he has a 90 incher located in 18a? don't know if it is bull or what?he has been accosiated with a few big ones over the years.

I think you shuold just add a GPS coordinate to all your photos so everybody knows exactly where to find these bucks. Yeah Right!

I was talking about the one he guided Bill Dunbar to that scored about 88.
We have only been through 18A once this year so we haven't seen a 90 there yet. I'm sure there could be one though.
oh right that buck.we are going to start in 18a next week.see what we can find.
