In no particular order...
Unit 10:
Over the last 17 years we've guided to 12 bucks in Unit 10 - only a couple were auction tag bucks - and we've accumulated an average B&C score of 87 3/8 and average SCI score of 89! That's huge for a single antelope and for an average it's downright crazy. That's how consistent Unit 10 has been for us. Our biggest buck during those 17 years was 94 B&C and 97 2/8 SCI - very close to the World Record!
Unit 19A:
The unit has big bucks, but if your private land averse or don't like to see other people (or an entire city) while you hunt then this unit is not for you!
Unit 19B:
See above - and you may not actually even be allowed to hunt the private land - at least in 19A they'll let you pay a trespass fee (for some of it anyway.)
Unit 18A:
Very important - if you're planning on scouting a lot and hunting a particular buck or two then don't apply for a rifle tag - archery and muzzle loader hunters will get first crack at your buck.
Unit 17B:
Private land is in abundance these days and it always seems to grow where the big antelope live. Stay away unless you have access or can get it (we can't seem to,) but at least drive through if you like to look at big bucks.
Tally Ho!

I have not seen the new Hunting Fool Magazine yet, IS this on par with what they say as well?
Not quite. The Huntin' Fool only has 10 and 18A the same. They listed two units I wouldn't normally recommend - Unit 7 and Unit 8 and then 18B in conjunction with the 10/18 archery hunt. Although I wouldn't recommend these units as top units they may be good sleeper units (that everyone knows about!) Haha.

I like the draw odds of 10 for 1st choice!
As far as private areas in the top 5, are there any you can get me onto when you guide me. (for #2 choice)

elkoholic, there's one other unit which I didn't mention that you can probably avoid all private land and that's 17A rifle.
17A - Mostly public (or at least accessible by the public, I use the two terms interchangeably.) Probably looking at a mid-80's type buck.
19AN - we can get access to what we need (at least we've been able to in the past.) Probably looking at an upper-80's type buck with an outside shot at a 90.
19B - we're working on it, but I wouldn't hold your breath. Probably an upper-80's type buck.
17B - also working on it (these places are not easy to get access to, sheesh!) Probably a mid-80's type buck.
18A - mostly all public where we like to hunt. A little private but it hasn't affected anything yet. Probably a mid-80's type buck.
10 - Very big! Lots of public. Probably a mid to upper-80's type buck with an outside shot at a 90.
If you don't want to worry about private than Units 10 and 17A or 18A muzzle loader would be good choices. If you don't care either way I'd put in for 19A north and 17A or 10.
I love unit 10! Always something good and never have to worry about private land or big cities.
It's so tough to figure which units will truly be the best this year because we can't scout prior to applying for the tags like in the past. All these units are just guesses, but all of them had great bucks last year.
Whatever you do, DO NOT apply for Unit 7, 13A, 13B, or 21!
If you'd like you can call the owner (my Dad) and see what exactly he recommends, but I'm sure it'll be similar to my blog.

I am glad there has been no mention of the unit that I still think is the best "sleeper" unit in the state. Not many bucks overall and not that many giant bucks, but there are some good ones in there.

If you are losing more then 100 hairs per day then you
might be experiencing hair loss.
There’s a growing number of doctors and physicians who advocate vitamins for hair loss as a part of
a larger treatment regimen. It also causes "severe migraines and traction alopecia, which actually increases hair loss, rather than helping to recover healthy hair growth," Tatiana said.
Incredible! This blog looks exactly like my old one!
